How to use a Hybrid Teaching Kit
The Hybrid Teaching Kits consitis of a webcam, a speakerphone, a tripod and a usb hub and extension cable.
In many cases it will be easiest to attach the webcam to the computer monitor, particularly if the monitor has a swivel arm. The swivel arm can function like a tripod allowing for panning. It is recommended to include both the teacher and students in the shot to give remote particpants a sense of particpation. To discuss best practice for dual mode teaching please reach out to a faculty education developer.

The Hybrid Teaching Kits come with either a Manfrotto Compact tripod or a Vivitar 62" tripod. The tripod plates are left connected to the
Webcam
There are several models of Logitech webcams in the Hybrid Kits. Your kit may include a C920 HD Pro Webcam, C930e Business Webcam or a Logitech StreamCam. These cameras are all simialr in specifications. They are all plug and play in Mac & PC. Simply conncect the USB cable to the computer you are using and then select the camera model in your video conferencing software e.g. Blackboard Collaborat, Teams, Zoom etc. Note: The Logitech StreamCam has a USBC connector and may require a USBC - USBA adapter which is included in the kit. The C920 HD Pro Webcam and C930e Business Webcam have a USBA connector and may rquire a USBA - USBC adapter which is included in the kit.
