Travelling or working from home
If you need to work from home, or work whilst travelling, please make a request to your School or Centre for a laptop when your desktop computer is due to be replaced (ie when it is out of warranty).
If approved, the TRC will contribute funds up to the value of a standard desktop, your School or Centre contributes the rest of the funds.
Please remember to consider whether you will then need a docking sation, monitor and adaptors to use the laptop whilst in your office. There are several models of laptops available,
All IT purchasing in the faculty is managed by the TRC. Once we confirm your computuer is due for replacement, and a laptop has been approved, we can then help you choose which model is right for you and what accessories and monitors are compatible.
