Core systems
The three primary TELT systems in use in UNSW Arts and Social Sciences are:
- Moodle (course management)
- Echo360 lecture capture (formerly Lectopia) – accessed within your Moodle course
- UNSW TV (streaming media)
Moodle
Moodle is a learning management system and the location where the online component of many courses takes place. It provides a site for you to access your course materials, receive important announcements, collaborate and communicate with your fellow students, and even submit your assessments.
Echo360 lecture capture
Echo360 (formerly Lectopia) is a service that provides you with access to audio-visual recordings of your lectures. When Echo360 is enabled for your course you will see links made available in the course’s Moodle site. You are then able to stream the recordings online, or even download them for later use.
UNSW TV
UNSWTV is the digital media management system for UNSW. It allows staff and students to upload, publish and manage content, including videos, audio and PDFs.
UNSW services and support for eLearning
The IT, Apps and eLearning section of the Current Students website provides an enormous amount of information on all the major TELT systems, key points of contact for support, as well as information on other important UNSW services such as myUNSW, identity management and Zmail.
Students are strongly encouraged to familiarise themselves with this valuable resource.
