How to use a Canon Legria mini X
The Legria mini X is a lightweight and easy to use video recorder ideal for capturing lectures, presentations and interviews.
Quick start
- Turn camera on using on/off switch
- Select video format. [MP4 is best in most cases]
- Select video quality. [4Mbps for smaller files, 17Mbps for "Full HD"] video
- Press the red “record” button. [You are recording when the timecode numbers at the top of the display are counting up].
- To stop recording press the “record” button again.
File Management
- Use the playback button to review footage.
- The Legria mini X records to a 16GB SD card located under the cameras battery cover. To eject the card press inwards and then release.
- To retrieve recordings insert card into the supplied card reader and connect to your computer. The card will show as "Canon" and your files can be found within the "DCIM" folder.
- To delete files: There are two ways to do this;
- Connect the device to your computer and follow the instructions above to locate the “file_name”. Highlight the desired file(s) and delete them.
- Press the “Playback” button. On the touch display, tap "Edit" and then either "All Scenes" to delete all video files or "Select" to choose individual files to delete.
