Turnitin in Moodle for students
Logging into Moodle
Assignments are submitted to Turnitin via your course's Moodle site.
To access Moodle, please do the following:
- Go to Current Students Portal (opens in a new window)
- Click on Moodle Login link
- Enter your zID and zPass when prompted
Submitting assessments to Turnitin
The following steps outline the process for submitting an assignment to Turnitin.
Please note, when resubmission is permitted by your instructor the process is virtually identical.
- Login to Moodle and enter your course site
- Click on Turnitin Submission Box Link
- Once in Turnitin, click on the My Submissions tab
- Select Submission Type if prompted
- Enter Submission Title, click Choose File to browse to file, and tick the box beside the declaration to agree to the terms
- Click Add Submission to finish
Accessing feedback
Access to instructor/tutor feedback is obtained through the My Submissions tab in the same submission box you first used to submit your assignment. Please be aware there are a number of navigation options in the Turnitin Document Viewer, located in several key places around the browser. Please consult the above video for a demonstration.
- Login to Moodle and enter your course site
- Click on Turnitin Submission Box Link
- Once in Turnitin, click on the My Submissions tab
- Click on the title of your paper to load the Document Viewer
- Use the tabs and icons in the Document Viewer to browse through your feedback, or click on the printer icon in the bottom left hand corner and select "Download PDF of current view for printing."
